  1. I found a 220 about 2 hours from me ad said never used but they want $500 for it. The woman said her mother in law bought it 2004 but never used it. I'm going to wait a week or so and see if it's still on Craigs list and offer them $300 for it.
  2. No one in Colorado. I'll just keep looking here in Iowa.
  3. I went back and watched your videos. With a serial number of 6319 it is newer than mine. Mine has a serial number of 5614 and I bought it brand new in 1996 so I would guess it was probably 1999 instead of 1989. It looks just like mine same clamps and everything. Would you be willing to sell it?
  4. Send some of them RBIs to Iowa would you I'm looking for one for my daughter. Very good deal.
  5. I'm with Bill dump it on the edge of the woods behind my house and the chickens spread it around. FYI chickens don't like cherry sawdust.
  6. I did the same thing to my Hawk 226 last week. When I had it apart I noticed the wedge was rounded over a lot. I rubbed both sides of it on some sandpaper on a board and flattened it back out. I had been having problems holding tension on the blade and that seems to have cured it. I did notice the part of the arm the wedge sets in isn't as sharp a v as it once was so someday I will send it back to Bushton and have them rebuild it.
  7. I have a 26 inch Hawk and I think she wants it cut like the picture tgiro posted.
  8. A lady I work with asked me today if I had a scroll saw. I told her I did and asked her why she wanted to know. She said she saw a book with some initials cut in it. It was about a 2 inch thick hardback book. The guy told her it was cut with a scroll saw. Has anyone here ever scrolled a book? I told her I might give it a try and see what happens. I would think you would want a bigger blade with a lot of space between the teeth to clean out the cut. What do you guys think? Thanks.
  9. My saw from 1996 didn't have the linc- loc but I added it later.
  10. My dad had one of the cast iron eagles remember it when I was a kid. We never new what happened to it. A guy I worked with at Case still hasv2 of them. Said he's been offered several thousand dollars for them but won't sell them.
  11. Rocky may I ask did you cut the Case logo for yourself or for some one else. The reason I ask is I worked for Case for 30 years and my dad sold Case tractors all his life. Where did you find the pattern if you don't mind me asking? Thanks.
  12. Mine is serial number 5696 and I bought it new in 1996. It has the square clamps and is an Ultra if this helps you any.
  13. Very very nice
  14. Dale is my name. my nickname came from riding two wheels for most of my life but as old age crept up on me I traded the two wheels for three wheels. My friends told Iwas riding an old mans motorcycle. Funny thing is a lot of them now have three wheelers too. Last year we sold the Harley trike and bought a Polaris Slingshot. Boys and there toys my wife says.
  15. Mahendra did some for me last fall that turned out great. That a great job on the portrait.
  16. Never used a foot switch. Here is how I have my Hawk set up. The switch is right by my knee so I don't have to reach back to turn on on. I have my light hooked into it to so they both come on at the same time.
  17. I have a RBI 26 Ultra and I do a lot of fretwork and sign making. I think it is great for fretwork because of the ease of blade changes and setting the tension. I have never used the other saws so I can't comment on them.
  18. I have been using the Loctite brand spray adhesive from Lowes. I think it was around 8 dollars for a big can. They have a heavy and light duty adhesive. I use the light duty.
  19. I hope everyone here has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
  20. Glad to hear you like it so far. I cut a lot of 1/2 inch plywood with mine and yes you can turn sharp corners with it.
  21. All the ones I cleaned were like the clock in my picture. Lots of detail in them. Some of them haven't been cleaned since I made them back in the 90s. They sure do look better now.
  22. I just got done dusting all the fret work I have made over the years for the wife. I used a product with bees wax and citrus oil in it called Howard's Feed and Finish and a small brush to get into the small cutouts. It worked pretty good. My pieces look new again. By the time I got to the last piece I told her I'm not making any more fret work pieces. And yes I will keep cutting fret work projects. It's too much fun.
  23. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
  24. Thanks for the input guys. I think I will skip the poplar. Was just wondering.
