I was challenged to do a full project with spirals. I did this Jim Blume pattern on 8.5x11. I still prefer straights, but good to know I can use spirals now

I get all my micro bits from QTE.north America. I'm getting 5000 pilot holes out of a #65 and maybe more cause I dropped it in my scrap pile. I'm on my 2nd bit since I bought 5 in January

Your top arm should be parallel with the table. Once you get that parallel,vthe you adjust the motor for your front to back blade movement. After that you should never touch the rear knob unless it move slightly like Kevin said. Put some pegas chucks on it. I hated the upper on the ex as I like to see the top of the blade when I'm installing it.
