  2. Big welcome to the pirate, I have watched a lot of your vids on you tube, you do some excellent work and your sticker collection is really good lol enjoy the village its great family to be a member of. Cheers Gordon Glasgow, Scotland
  3. That's a perfect cut you did a great job, if your looking for flaws am sure everyone of us have plenty of things we have cut, but just didn't look right to ourselves. but this is an excellent cutting of helicopter lol only joking you smashed he will love it. Gordon
  4. Wow impressive you did some job on it, I bet at night it looks stunning, I use cm for measurements rather than inches, we should together as a group all agree to put a playing card like 5 of clubs in the photo, they are same size the world over, easy to see the actual size of our items, I love ur lamp
  5. Hi ppl's not cut in weeks, just not had time, finally got to my saw, took the idea from Frank "think it was his" the pic is Bowmore main St where we grew up on Islay with the round church at the top "so the devil can't hide in the corner" it's a house warming prezzie for my wee mum she just downsized, she is 81 needed a smaller house, she misses living there so much, so every day she can see it, it's A2 size, sticking 4 x A4 sheets was a nightmare

  7. Nice job for your first time, starting of try to cut things you like the look of it doesn't have to be complicated to be good, never be afraid to ask questions on here it is a wealth of knowledge, if you want any patterns give me a shout if I have it then it is yours, enjoy
  8. Oops forgot the pic
  9. I cut this for no other reason than I loved the look of it, I stuck 4 A4 sheets together then cut it with spiral blades out of 12mm ply, sprayed it with 2 coats of clear lacquer and put a black backer on it, like most of your works the pics don't do it justice Cheers Gordon
  10. Nice job, all I use now is spiral blades the main thing to remember is that it's your drawing so if you go of the lines no one knows, maybe that's how your design was, you did a fantastic job keep on with the spirals, don't try the long straight cuts it will on depress you like it does me try doing the leaping tiger in the pattern library it looks great with a black backing Gordon
  11. You are a scarecrow,....... Out standing in your field I love it nice job
  12. Nice job it looks magic, I only use spiral blades now once I got use to going in any direction it's now hard to break the habit, going on this pic you deff nailed using spirals well done, love just needs a tiger coloured resin frame and it be perfect Gordon
  13. The cutting is class but am equally impressed with your word "craptacular" that should be in the dictionary lol
  14. Wow I love these you did an amazing job can I ask where you got the pattern from, I grew up on a wee Scottish Island and would love this on my wall with a photo of the view I use to have growing up, if that makes sense to anyone. Gordon
  15. Class les, am going to cut this and put it on my bedroom wall it has to be a good start to the day if you open ur eyes and the first thing u see is that looking at you lol, I also don't sell just give aways lately I have been taking photos of ppls dogs redrawing them and cutting them to make doggie dream catchers with the dogs name on it Gordon
  16. I love MDF its the main thing i cut, don't care much about the toxic stuff i used to smoke and i drive a car so am spreading toxic fumes all the time lol, its cheap and so easy to get in various thicknesses, am limited on the real wood i can get and i only cut things from scrap or reclaimed wood, sorry but i find it hard to drive by a skip full of timber going to land fill, up scaling instead of land fill is my option and i love turning a scrap bit of wood into a portrait of a dog or person or what ever comes to mind cheers Gordon
  17. Nice job great piece of work
  18. I saw a version of the thistle and text online so redrew it so it could be cut the just drew the rampant lion and Eagle then decided to make it into a wall shield kinda made it up as I went along lol
  19. Hi ppl hope u are all safe and well, I haven't cut anything for a while Scotland had sunshine yay so did the garden but got asked to do something for a friend her family is split between Scotland and USA so this is what I came up with for her to send to the states. Stay safe ppl Cheers Gordon
  20. Any pattern i have redrawn you are welcome to have a copy free just got to ask,

  21. Get a big hammer and smash it to bits teach it a lesson not to mess with you, when I make bad sawdust I take it personal like me versus the wood I can hear it saying "you think you can scroll me, but no chance" so out comes my hammer am getting quite good at destroying hrs of work in a few seconds lol Gordon
  22. you should be very proud especially the wee one, you cant buy the satisfaction she will feel knowing she made that sign, you both did a great job in teaching and cutting Gordon
  23. Anytime you want to post a pic of sheba I would be more than happy to make the best pattern I can for you, there are some really great pattern makers on here am sure between us we could make a pattern you would be proud to hang on your wall once you cut it Gordon
  24. Are you of your nut wow that's impressive I would have broke at least 20 or 30 of the lines you did a great job I haven't seen a pattern like this before but am deff going to look at doing some drawings in this style to cut its really well done Gordon
  25. A friend of my mums has had to move into a care home sadly dementia has taken over, she has a framed drawing of a dog Cindy she owned years ago so I decided to see what I could come up with for her, I have included the original pic, my re-draw, the finished artwork and finally the cut Gordon
