  1. Very pretty!
  2. Is it wrong to be jealous? Great work!
  3. You did a great job on that. Congrats!
  4. Thanks! I like it better than anything. I don't believe I'll ever be much of a fretwork artist.
  5. Thanks, Gordon. One day I'll scroll like the rest of ya.
  6. I think my sanding is getting better since I got all the equipment set up. The drum sander has made a lot of difference. I made 5 of these bears, all the others are brown. The eyes... lol I can fix them, but I think I'll leave them the way they are.
  7. Good job! I need one of those for my house!
  8. You guys are all so kind! Thank you.
  9. Thank you! That's a good idea! I used to work with that some several years ago. Maybe I'll try it again.
  10. Thanks! I want to do an angelfish and a couple of other sealife things and put a collage in the bathroom.
  11. Thank you lawson56!
  12. I'm getting ready to break out the good stuff. Thank you!
  13. I'm still sawing plywood. I found this pattern online with an antarsia tutorial. I'm still just doing segmentation and trying to get the hand of cutting. I used 1/2 inch plywood and put a couple of coats of clear satin finish. Not that proud or bragging. lol
  14. Looks just like him!
  15. Very cool! Makes me want to say Happy Valentine's Day early.
  16. Great work! Love the island one, your friend will love it.
  17. Thanks! I got the pattern here for free if anyone else wants to try it. It really was a fun one. http://scrollsawer.com/2017/06/02/sunset-segmentation/
  18. There you go. LOL My husband confiscated the first one I made.
  19. Wow! Beautiful! (We had chili for dinner tonight too! Yum!)
  20. I made a couple of them today, the spider web type. I made one before and I don't like doing them. lol The only reason I'm making them is for practice, but every time I do them, the patterns fly off. I used contact paper before. Today I used tape, doh. Did. Not. Work. I get kind of stressed out making them with the pattern floppin' all over the place. But I persevered and made 2 stacked. I think I need to get some mineral spirits and glue things directly onto the wood. I do pretty good when I use carbon paper to draw the pattern onto the wood, nothing in the way, like that. How do you keep your patterns from trying to run away from home? lol
  21. Mine's wearing a plastic shower cap.
  22. Thank you, Scrappile!
  23. Thanks, Gordster. I need a bigger pattern for that. This one is only 7x10 inches. I think it would look good as a large piece for my wall. My pictures are not that great, it looks like black paint ran on it or something, had to be the angle I took it, shadows, I guess. Still learning the camera.
  24. I used acrylics watered down, some were metallics, gold and copper. This was a pretty quick project. I used 1/2 inch plywood.
  25. The sleeves seem to be as scarce as hen's teeth. I however did find some on Amazon that are 70 cm in diameter (2.8 inches) and 9 inches long. If they fit, I'll just cut them down. If they work, I just want to use them myself so I don't have to order them all the time. They had all grits for 12 dollars and some change, 5 sleeves. We'll see when I get them how they work. They are made for pneumatic drum sanders. I guess I'm going to get an education in sand paper and sleeves now. lol
