What paints are recommended for wood, i.e. wood puzzles. Looking for a one time spray application with no further top coating. bb

I used to do production cutting ~ 5 hours a day. Started with a DeWalt BUT only got a 2 years out of it before it needed to go in the shop. It only had a one year warranty. Then I switched to Delta with a 5 yr warranty. It only gets the same 2 years before going into the shop for repair. I always had a backup Delta saw because repairs took weeks to complete. Delta saw can be had for around $300 at Home Depot when on sale. So, you can get 3+ Delta saws for the price of a pegas, Hawk, or Hegner. That would be my recommendation. bb

packaging tape

Duck brand packaging tape arrived yesterday. 2 days from Amazon. How do you spell relief? Duck Brand, Duck Brand, Duck Brand!!!! I wish the USPS would treat my Priority Mail packages like they do Amazon's packages!
-
Well there is packaging tape and there is packaging tape! Just bought a roll of 3M packaging tape at CVS because I had run out of my regular tape. Pathetic. I'm wondering if they provide a cheap version to CVS? The crap won't stick to my wood! Going back to my Duck brand tape! bb

My first attempt. Just bought his dolphin pattern and will make shortly. I was able to find 20' of key chain and 30 connectors on Amazon for $7. If I put a fish hook in the tail what kind of fish would I catch? bb
-
It looked like a foreign brand. I use 3M "45" spray adhesive. A very light coat works well. bb

SEYCO has the perfect sanding/dust collection combo for this type of project! bb

Yes I have seen similar. In fact I have fish made out of padauk and instead of the eye there is a key chain. I've been meaning to make some as gifts and now you have motivated me! bb

Shop-vac news: Shop Vac owner revealed zNewsletter Sunday Dec 30, 2020 The popular Shop Vac brand of vacuums has been purchased by GreatStar Tools USA, giving new life to the global manufacturer headquartered in Williamsport. GreatStar announced Monday it will take ownership of Shop Vac assets, re-open the Williamsport plant and rehire employees who lost their jobs when the factory let go most of its 430-plus work force in mid-September after a failed sale of the company by its private owners, the Miller family now living on the West Coast. GreatStar’s bid to buy Shop Vac was settled on Christmas Eve but the identity of the buyer had not been released until Monday. GreatStar is part of Hangzhou GreatStar Industrial Co. Ltd., a hand tool manufacturer in Asia, specializing in designing and manufacturing products for DIY, professional and industrial markets globally.

Kevin, this is the Seyco dust collector I have. I love it!! I had them provide a drill chuck on the right side of the grinder so I can use my 3M sanding disks with 1/4" shank. Brian
