  1. When you adjust that back screw for the knob do it until it catches just barely. If you tighten it too much you will damage your saw. I read it in the manual a few years back when I had to adjust mine.
  2. Go big or go home! Do you notice a lot of paint chipping and flaking off on your Hegner?
  3. I stand corrected. You wanna come over and play GI JOES or something? lol
  4. Not yet! Im surprised too.
  5. can’t figure out how to buy that saw. Sometimes you just gotta say screw it and take one for the team. Lol
  6. Thats how those scroll mate saws from ps wood are. Simple, built likr a tank, effective, low low maintenance, powerful, reliable, backed with customer service and affordable parts on hand. And a 1 inch stroke that also provides full control at any speed. But you must have the stand as the motor is mounted below. I am gonna stop by advanced machinery next week and look at some Hegner saws. Its on my way. Its gonna be my giant ball of yarn stop. Im very excited about it.
  7. The little knob on the left is for a storage drawer!
  8. Oooh its only $300 doll hairs! Wonder if you can actually get it or not. Im gonna play with the website see what happens!
  9. I was searching the globe for a hawk G4 (cause its like sitting on Santas lap) and this popped up as a Harbor Freight model #65406 but can’t find it on the website. I thought it was kinda neat. Combines my hawk with my ps wood table with the controls of a hegner in front and I kinda like the machinery Gray on it. I wonder what the little knob deal on the left is.
  10. Those look like little minions in a bag lol tip my cans upside down and spray then take my cap that came with it (I use elmers) and put some mineral spirits in there and let it soak til next time. Gives you a scroll project so you can make something to keep you from tipping it over lol.
  11. Push start fiat lol. I got a dewalt for my dad and out everything on it. He didn’t like it. It has a real aggression problem this one. The only saw I hve not tried is the new Hawk but that about to change. I still want a G4 too because thats been a dream for a while now. On my 30” KXL i adjusted that arm holder so it barely catches. I really love that saw but hate pushing that arm up. 10 hours later your done for sure. I wish the King I have had a bigger front part of the table and the old tension system the first purple excaliburs had. Those were cool and I liked the purple. I gotta show you this saw....
  12. Love the responses
  13. sea foam green or teal, turquoise or lime green? It has to look cool too! Gotta get your cake and eat it too lol anodized with a candy paint color? Aluminum with a see through candy apple red? Or a saw that comes in available colors? I may buy the wen just for fun. I wanna see what its like. Put it on my tool box. Put some leds in it for hangar parties haha
  14. But what about the color?
  15. Lets talk what everyones dream scroll saw would be. If you could wiggle your nose and have a saw appear in front of you right now. What would it look like? What color would it be? What size? What features would it have?
  16. True. And cnc has taken over. But if my saws ship for free and I back the product up things should go somewhat smooth. One change I would make is that the saws would be sent in wood crates. I know it adds weight but then if someone needed service the saw could be shipped without damage or worry. My saws wont be just machined aluminum and formed steel. I have some other ideas in mind. and those I keep to myself for now.
  17. Cleans battery cables too. Its a violent action when the two mix. When I get new bandsaw blades I give them a coat of this stuff. Apply it let it cure and your all set. https://www.pswood.com/bostik-bladecote-10-75-oz/
  18. This pushed me away from a new hawk. Maybe it’s time I engineer a new All American made saw and focus on quality, consistency, durability and reliability. And a beautiful saw none the less. Either you farm or run a business. You can’t state open certain hours and have no customer service. Farm or manufacture. I have had my own problems over the years getting wrong parts and mis machined parts. I got one of the new barrel deals installed in my upper arm on one saw I wore out and my arm came back with that barrel almost 22 degrees from where it should be. It took a total of 8 weeks to get it done the first time and another 3 weeks to have them replace my arm with a new one. I just thought it was me for the longest time. I just thought maybe they were slammed but now After hearing other owners it seems we need a new maker out there. Let me think over if I want to create a new American made saw and compete.
  19. 60 days! Took me two weeks of calling to get through to be put on the list. I was put on the list 3 years ago and keep calling every 6 months to get put on the “list” again. I gave up for a year and got a bad taste in my mouth. Trying it one last time. There is a new office gal and she said I will definitely receive my saw this time. The G4 seems really high quality. I should have bought one when they first came out. I have some big stuff coming up to build and I need to get my feet planted and get it done.
  20. I wanna thank everyone for their positive feedback and help finding me a G4. Since I am relocating from Virginia to Maine Advanced Machinery is just right off the highway and I may call ahead and see if I can stop by. For atleast another year or so all my other saws will have to stay back in Colorado where I originally travelled from and I was worked to death this last year. Having a new work life balance and something to do to keep busy in my free time and making tooling and jigs is gonna help me pass the time til I can get my ps wood machine back to me. I ordered a BM26 but have concerns and its quite the wait as well. Thanks everyone.
  21. I found it at bear wood. That is nice.
  22. where did you find info on the larger table? I have a 30” that needs a new table and if i can get more blade room in the front and sides I would love to do so.
  23. I like those feather ornaments.
  24. But it could be up for trade for a shiny new pegas with a stand and assortment of a few gross blades of your choice? Lol I can pick it up on my way to Maine. Thanks for the help Rolf. Appreciate it very much.
