This my latest cutting, a beautiful Russ Beard Pattern cut out on 3mm Baltic Birch Ply using #0 & #1 Straight pin less blades, finished in a BLO & Mineral Spirits mixture and a clear coat of varnish. The frame is from my stock of frames that I recently made, and finished in the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique.

  9. This beautiful pattern from Russ Beard is cut on 4mm Baltic Birch Plywood, cut with Niqua #0 & #1 Pin Less blades, soaked in a BLO and White Spirit mixture and then clear varnish finishing coats.The frame is self made and the Japanese Technique Shou Sigi Ban was used for the frame.

  18. Just posting my latest cut, The Last Super by FISH, a great pattern and it was a priviledged to be able to cut it. It was cut on 1/8” Baltic Birch Ply, using a Niqua #1 straight Pin Less blade. Finish was BLO and mineral spirit mixture. I took some time off s rolling and made myself about eighteen frames, very happy with the result just needs to be varnished. A word on the tight crop of the pattern, as a ex photographer I understand cropping etc. with this pattern I wanted a tight crop to draw your eye into the pattern and most importantly Christ sitting in the Centre, it worked for me and I know some people may not like it but that’s cool with me.
