  1. Excellent work, Pete.
  2. Welcome to the Village, Liz. This is a great hobby and I believe you'll find very addictive.
  3. Awesome job, Denny. I know if I made one of these I would never get anything else done. The wife would want me to keep cutting these until she had every one of them.
  4. Great job, Tbow. I like how you always go the extra step to make your pieces look special.
  5. Nicely done, Tbow!
  6. Very nice. Any completed project is always a great job. So with that, Great Job!
  7. Welcome to the Village from North Carolina. Lots of knowledgeable scrollers here. Don't hesitate to ask questions. You're now a part of the Village family.
  8. Excellent work as usual, Frank. Happy Holidays to you and we'll be looking for your safe return.
  9. Very nice, Marg. I cut some of the figurines as some of my first scroll saw projects. They were really liked and sold quickly. Guess I should cut some more. I know kids really like them.
  10. Wow! You've been busy, Tbow. And as usual, all you work is excellent. Live edge always stands out to me. Your choice of wood with the vases and box are beautiful.
  11. Nice cutting, Jimmy.
  12. I really like this one, Charlie. I cut a Tree of Life pattern some time back that had the words of the song, "What A Wonderful World." I have sold the piece and have wanted to cut some more but haven't gotten around to it yet. I believe the pattern is in the Village library.
  13. Nice job, Ron. Really like the fire trucks.
  14. Barry, I apologize but I've had the pattern for some time and, for the life of me, can't remember where I downloaded it. Wherever it was, it was a free pattern. If I come across it again, I'll let you know.

I was able to squeeze this project in between commissions. Unfortunately, the creator of the pattern didn't provide their name or handle. If anyone knows, please give them credit. The piece is 8X10 Baltic Birch stained Natural with a 1/4-inch Birch backer stained Ebony. I used Polyacrylic to seal the piece with sanding between the four coats. Prefabricated framing material cut to size finished the project. This was a fun piece to cut and I was able to use a few #2/0 and #1 Pegas MGT blades rather than the spirals I typically use on my heavily fretted projects. Again, thanks to the author of the pattern.
  16. The police department for our county seat lost their K-9 after several years of service. I was asked to create this piece for the handler. This 8X10 was cut using 1/4-inch Baltic Birch and stained with Minwax Natural. The 1/4-inch backer was stained with Minwax Ebony. The frame was custom cut to size using pre-fabricated framing material. The pattern was by me. This was a tricky cut due to the long bridges as a result of the dark uniform.
  17. Outstanding piece!!!
  18. Your time paid off. Turned out great!
  19. Letters are a challenge even for experienced scrollers, Brian. But it is rewarding to finish a piece with nice, straight letters with no drop outs. You did an excellent job. The paint gives the pieces an extra pop.
  20. Beautiful piece. I love cutting Jim's patterns.
  21. Outstanding work. I feel you could have gotten more for the tree but I understand how it is. I often as my wife what I should charge for a certain piece. In most every case I under price according to her. Even at her pricing a good friend told me I still should charge more. Considering the number of hours I put into some of my pieces, I guess he's right.
  22. Nice one, Charlie. Really like how the wood looks, regardless of what kind it is.
  23. Lots of work there!!! Great job.
  24. Awesome job and amazing painting skills!
  25. This is one of Grampa's patterns I cut over the weekend. The piece is 1/4-inch Baltic Birch with Natural stain, and the 1/4-inch Birch backer is stained Ebony. The frame is pre-fab framing material cut to size. The actual cutting is 8X10. This was a fun project although very time consuming with all the little cuts. I primarily used Pegas 2/0 spiral blades but had to drop to a Flying Dutchman 3/0 spiral for some of the smaller holes. Once cut the piece was very stable and you don't have to worry about "tender" areas that might fall or break out.
