  1. Full sheet shipping labels work better than plain paper and spray glues.. I've been doing the shipping label method for about 6 years now.. still need painters tape or shelf liner.. shipping labels are made to not fall off packages so they also won't fall off the wood.. nor peel off if stuck directly to the wood.. Howdy and your brought back Happy Memories. Most of my working life I worked in a PRINT SHOP. So when I Retired Way back then had whats called CRACK N PEEL. Sounds like same as what your saying. AND YES.... that was my Beginning of Scrolling then and I use it till it was USED UP. Checked into the cost of buying and was just to Expensive for my budget. Anyway I have used about All the Methods for securing a pattern to a blank of wood.... So how bout leading me onto where you buy your Shipping Labels Stock.... Tks Danny
  2. Cold n Windy out yonder yesterday. Dislike the Spray of the Spray Glue. Seems to drift towards me. LOL Anyway I gave GORILLA GLUE STICK a try and By George I think it worked Great. Just some on the painters tape and back of pattern. Stuck it on and soon drilled the lil started holes. Finished the project and Worked out Perfectly. Pattern stayed stuck and never lifted. :+} Of course at $4 a tube at Walmart would be pretty Expensive to use in the long run. Danny :+}
  3. Wow! AMAZING.... And this is Scrolling to its Perfection. Love Colors in my projects. Outstanding looking.............Danny :+}
  4. Oh I do so Remember My days with the Beginning in Scrolling. I did Learn a lot in the Scroll Forums.... Especially here in the Village. Your Wolf looks just Outstanding. Well done.... Danny :+}
  5. Ran into a Not like situation last Order for Baltic birch Ply. Not Good Quality. Sloan was my go to but last year they closed up shop. SO....... I searched and did settle for Ebay.... Did purchase 1/4 and 1/8 BB. Not Quality at all. EXCEPTABLE with Good Sanding and Good Finishing, but not like the Ole times with Sloan. Now.... The Question.... Where does Most of you buy your Ply/Wood? Reasonable price and Good Service.... Thanks for letting me vent a lil...............................Danny P.S. Not want to mention who on Ebay....
  6. BEAUTIFUL looking Plaques. I got into them years back (Yes do Craft Shows).... First year they ALL sold like Hot Cakes. Had 40 that year. Different words and sayings.... The most Popular ones that year were the VETERAN ones. Proud to of Served. Anyway yours look Great................Danny :+}
  7. Hey Robert.... Very Happy you Joined this Wonderful Family of Scrollers. I remember my First Post Many years back. So much Wonderful and very knowledgeable people here. I was New and had many Questions and Every One of them got a Answer that improved my Scrolling Ability. I feel safe in saying that most anything you ask will get a Reply.... Danny :+}
  8. The reason I ordered and give them a try (2/0) was because of a friends suggestion. Remember.... YES cut way more Aggressive than I was used to using the UR#1. So I just never felt like using them again. Maybe I should though. .... Thanks for your Help.... Danny :+}
  9. Oh boy! I love 2/0 blades. I buy them by the gross! FOR ....ROCKYTIME.... My personnal blade is UR#1.... Works Great. Will you explain why your Go to blade is the 2/0? Is is better in your views than the FDUR #1? I have 2/0 and have tried them.... Thanks Danny :+}
  10. When the upper arm is raised, at the rear of the main frame there is a round "boss" that is cast into it. The arm is stopped from raising further by that "boss". By removing it the arm is not constrained from rising to it's fullest. Makes for a lot more room under the arm. Thanks Ray for this Info. Never would of known this. Now I will look into what you and others have said. Danny :+}
  11. I just do not Understand what was said about things like boss. What is the boss? The lower part that holds the I say triangle r part that the blade is secured to just snaps into place so easy. What could be Faster and Better? I just never heard of Top Feeding on a Hegner. I have had mine for 14 years and I Love the way it is now. What some say really Interests me to learn more. A Better Way. Really I would like to learn. Danny :+}
  12. Hey there Ralph.... Gee wouldn't have it any other way. FDUR #1 on most All my Crafts. That is Up to 3/4inch.... Most that I cut is 1/4" up to 5/8".... 99% is Baltic Birch Ply. It cuts Faster and Finer than say the UR 3 or #5 blade. Honest...................Danny :+}
  13. I Like them All. Especially the Soldier. Love the concept you showed. Makes me want to cut something like this. Now them Kitty Kats I cut a stack of 4 long ago and as I remember they sold pretty good for $20 each. Blades you say I not savvy. If you were using a FDUR #1 blade I say it would cut the complete pattern. Well maybe would take two. Hehe Very, very well done the way I see it.................. Glad to know you...............Danny :+}

  15. Ray I came real close to buy the same thing as you use. In the end it boiled down to the Cost. Anyway I have been using this system for going on 2 years and sure makes the Breathing Quality Much Healthier......................Danny :+}
  16. I have my Make Shift way of doing the same as Rays Does. Cheaper also. I use a Bad Ash Vac. Quiter than normal vac. Smaller also. Sits under table. Table I made and my Hegner Purrs like a Kitten with almost no Vibration..... Thanks for putting up with this. Took the pictures upon completion of assembling it. Lots of sawdust underside. But this unit will Suck all the Dust immediately.... Danny :+}
