  1. Happy Birthday tomorrow Doug. Thank you and I would enjoy a new saw. I would still pursue to have this one work. Radio Shack has the VS Switch which I might obtain on my Birthday. Again, thanks and my best wishes to you.

  8. Kelly, at the grocery store is " Press N Seal ' by Glad. You've seen it, for wrapping foods. Tear off enough to cover your wood and use something to press it down. I use a roller. then attach your pattern to it. I like it because you can see thru it to attach your pattern. That ornament is looking great.
  9. Well worth showing. That looks great.
  10. Oh, and sounds like an interesting project. Please post some pics
  11. Contact the scroll blade sellers... Sloans Woodshop or Mikes Flying Dutchman. They will answer your questions and sell you the right blades.
  12. Found my problem, now to get it fixed. My variable speed potentiometer (pot) wore out. (variable speed control) I don't want to spend $80 for PC Board just to get the potentiometer. I probably can jury rig a different pot but would like original equipment. Any ideas where I can get just the original pot?

  17. You did good. Glad you didn't use a Debit Card. I don't know if I could do that good but I'd be happy if I did.
  18. Thanks, I checked those & resoldered. Next to check with meter to see if there is more 'juice' when you increase the speed.
  19. Price Vibration Noise Blade Changing Ease Durability Table Tilt Guage accuracy Variable Speed Table length/width Warrenty All scroll saws should have * Blowers, * Blade tensioningDelta 20-690 Type 1 Price 4.5 $350 in 2010 w/table light ... $399 no table/light 2014 Vibration 5.0 On pad not bolted down, no vibs Noise 4.0 Moderately quite, no ear plugs needed Blade Changing Ease 5.0 I think it is easy. Only experienced w/Delta & Dremel Durability 3.0 Something will break with in three years Table Tilt Guage accuracy 3.0 Guage markers too wide, U can be off by 1 or 2 degrees using it. Variable Speed 3.0 Good variable speed. Bad because if it goes you have to buy mother board Table length/width 5.0 Nice wide table Warrenty 3.0 Warrenty is poor because if you want past 90 days you have to buy it. My thoughts Travis. Thank you for starting this.
  20. I don't think so. All the wires are housed together as a cable in a tube running from front to back.

hmmmmmmm... What did she say to that?
  23. It's a 40-690 Type1 Delta (Dewalt look-a-like). Had a switch problem and since I took the switch cover off the variable speed does not work. Dewalt Tech says I have to order new pc board and it comes with the variable speed control (potentiometer) My variable speed potentiometer (pot) wore out. (variable speed control) I don't want to spend $80 for PC Board just to get the potentiometer. I probably can jury rig a different pot but would like original equipment. Any ideas where I can get just the original pot?
