A cool six feet plus growth stick. Probably could find other user while their growing. I could not figure the gradient(?) between the numbers. Can you clue me in?

No advice... You're between a rock and a hard place. Solutions are bigger drill press, mini drill stand (Dremel or Sears (in Mexico?)) or Gee, you already know all the options I could think of. This is a wasted post Larry There is a possible one time solution but I bet you will encounter this situation again...again...again Another local woodworker, Machine shop. Be desperate and go to a store, request to test a drill press with a bigger throat than you have. OK, I'm being less than serious.

Hey Mel, Welcome! I guess you've toured a bit by now. There is much here to see and 'do'. Check the gallerys and especially the pattern library. Read the posts and get ideas and add your "Just my tuppence worth" (Hope I got thet right). And a warning, there is no semi-retiring from scrolling. Larry

Hummm, Can't help you but you got me curious. What do you drill with alumnium bits? Oh, ok, I'll take a shot in the dark... you don't drill, it's a non ferrus router bit... if not that then is it a bit for a horse. I wish I could help......sorry Larry

Hey Kevin, why didn't you make us coffee & tea this morning? You were up at 06:00. Kuda put fresh grounds on top of yesterdays. I do that and it tastes good. I have water that is still hot on the wood stove and coffee is warm in the pot, help yourselves. Heading to the shop. Later Larry

That is great. Love the way you 'pictured' them. A-n-d ... I use a toothpick and remove excess glue when it just starts to set...before it gets hard. It comes off very easy. (I'm speaking of TightbondIII) Larry
