    A friend gave me a variety of wood scraps and also two very unusual pieces. One is an outer slab of a Sumack ( bush or tree ). This Sumack wood measures 40" long and 10" at the wide part. The stump measured about 22 inches at the base. The other is Walnut where the grain looks like a flame. Flame Walnut. Larry

    Jim, Yes it is. I'm looking for silhouetes now. and am excited about going back out to the shop tomorrow to pick out wood for my next project. But drats, I have other things I have to do tomorrow.

    My second inlay. This is Cherry inlay on a Tiger Maple board. I'm still learning this and I am enjoying it. A little frustration on getting the correct angle and need to find nice contrasting woods.

    Thank you all! I had a wonderful day. I cleaned 5 horse stalls. Went shopping and bought myself a BD present, A glue gun and glue sticks for $5.54. Adjusted my saw and cut another inlay. Another cheese board. I glued the bottom on and it is clamped and drying. It's a bear, not as clean and nice as the panther. Well, thanks for listening to me on my BD. Larry
