  1. Sounds like you picked yourself a winning ticket.
  2. I enjoyed this craft show at a high school. Mostly because of the crocheting young ladies next to me. I gave one of them a lucet cord maker. Desirae looked up how to use the lucet cord maker and before I left she had made me a lucet cord bracelet. I have to make a couple more lucet cord makers for the other girls. I also met another scroll sawyer who was not aware of the great SCROLLSAWVILLAGE.COM, so we may have a new member soon from Endicott, New York. One Marine, one Air Force plaque and a zebra scroll were the big money items. The rest were $2 to $4 sales. Anyway, I made friends, won a cutting board prize and Rachel gave me two crocheted hot pads. I am supposed to get two orders soon also from this craft show. Well, thanks for listening. Larry
  3. Raise your hands and praise the Lord. May he be home soon.
  4. In case anyone be interested, Dremel provides a weekly project. I think they have a different featured artist each month. I just started looking, saw a couple things of interest. If you want to check it out, go to: http://dremelweekends.com/ Later, Larry

  12. At a craft show two weeks ago, had a guy ask me if I wanted to buy wood. His basement is full of 'good' scrap Oak, Maple & Cherry pieces from his cabinet making. Variety of sizes. In his garage, he has 5000 board feet of lumber stacked in the rafters he wants to sell. He just wants to get rid of it. He is located near Binghamton, New York USA. I'll give you his phone number if you are interested talking to him. Of course I'd ask him if it was OK first. I bought some luaun 1/8" Oak and Cherry from him and may go get somemore. I don't n-e-e-d wood but I still will take some if it is a good deal. Rare or hard to get wood I'll take in a heart beat. The one type wood I want is the pieces that still have the bark on both the top and bottom
  13. First, Sparkey you can't be paying $18 to $28 for a piece of wood that is 1/4 inch x 4 inch x 30 inch ... there has to be a mis-type somewhere. Geeze, I could stick that piece of wood down my pant leg and walk around about like I do now. OK, Ya'll, try this. (Maybe some of you have). * Yellow Pages Look under ( wood, carpentry, home building, sawmills, cabinet makers ) Contact them, these business always have scrap to give away or sell. * Craigs List... Do a " Wanted: Scrap Wood " along with whats for sale. * Picture Framers sometimes throw away scratched, chipped framing wood. * Old Barns. fallen down ... . Stop and ask. * Invest in a 'Business Card' that INDICATES you want scrap wood. Then tack these up at HOT SPOTS. Just my thoughts.
  14. Well, I can't be envious. Your shop is what I will aspire to.
  15. A new tool is always good, especially if the wife knows about it. Wow and it looks good.

  18. Worthy of display in your Church. That shows Master Scroller talent.
  19. Most likely it does not matter. If it is delicate when you finish it, then router first. ROUTER FIRST, THAT TAKES VERY LITTLE TIME.
  20. I've tried smooth cardboard and that seems to work well also. Make sure it is dry !
  21. The colors look very nice. OK, dumb me! That is a great Schanuzer.
  22. Very, very nice. Inlays,... I have to keep trying. Ittsy, bittsy, teeny, weeny drill bit and blade (I guess) would be my choice. What type of hinge on the boxes?
  23. I think it is just as cute as a "KITTY" I like!
  24. My preference is lacquer. Follow directions. Spray very light coats.
