  1. Well now DW, That's a prized piece of work. Beautiful!! Larry
  2. 11F or so -8C or so this morning. The noise in the background is wood stove fan. I'll get me a cup-o-coffee in a minute Ron, thank you. Larry
  3. Very nice cutting on a good choice of woods. That will hang in an honored place. Larry
  4. Barry, Sully has your solution. A roller bearing router bit solves your problem (I think) . Just use some scrap material to adjust the edge you want. AND...A router bit will put an edge on anything including a finger!! Play Safe!! Larry
  5. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and God Bless you all.
  6. I bought a Delta 20 40-695 when they first came out (I think) in the spring of 2012. I enjoy my scroll saw very much as I think you will also. Give it a work-out, it can take it! Larry
  7. Give Bob a "GREENIE" from me!! Merry Christmas to you both and to all your FAMILY.
  8. Great find!
  9. I would check the "Like This" option but how could anybody like what happened to you
  10. Harold, Yes Avatar wags his tail. Your deer pattern is nice. The further away you are from the deer, the better it looks. Laugh out loud. I don't mean if you go to another room. Now, what's the dogs name? Mine was Sweetie and she wagged her tail also. She was a super girl. WELCOME !!!! Did you leave out fishing and hiking? and if you ain't 48, you told two lies (:>)))))
  11. Gabry,* What holds your Birch plywood secure while you cut? Is it a table similar to an electric scroll saw table? * How do you attach the pattern to the Birch? Thanks so much Larry
  12. Gabry, High fives and two thumbs up. That is beautiful. Amazing ... And your scroll saw does a fine job in your artistic hands. Patience and a steady firm grip to cut with a hand scroll blade
  13. Kevin, Those are too coo ... cool Good job
  14. Browser, whats a browser? Internet Explorer I suppose, Version ???? All I could find was compatible with windows 95 (Do I have Windows 95...??? I don't know) I may have over stated some of the changes but some of the ads did cover parts of the Home screen selections. Like, parts of NAVIGATION was overlayed along with some other items. Without having the 'old' and 'new' to compare... If the colors were light, I could almost read selections under the ads. Maybe should have been stated as less clutter. Did not mean to confuse. After becoming a SUPPORTER,, my scroll saw still runs the same... Sorry man, did not mean to add to your work load. But on the other hand, if you want to continue pursuing this, I can try and help if you tell me how. Larry
  15. Thanks Ron, of course like most of us, not all the tools I would like. I'm blessed with the basics. Drill, planer, router, scroll saw and orbit sander. This room would be big enough if the cedar chest, freezer, garden tools had somewhere else to go. Also, this is storage for the wood I use the most...hah, the wood that has to stay.
  16. I became a SSV Supporter because... not really 'because' of any one thing. It was just the correct choice to make. I am benefiting from this site. I enjoy the chats, listening and learning about other scrollers just by reading their comments. Then there are the patterns and the pattern makers. SO I became a supporter and my pages became clear! I saw parts of the screens I had never seen before. It was like I got new glasses. Of course me being on dial-up may have caused some of my problems, but becoming a supporter did 'widen' my computer screen. Try it, if you can, you'll like it. Larry
  17. The previous welcome beat me to what I wanted to say!!!! Dang... Gabry, you better publish some pictures of your work...AND SOON Well if you take a while that's ok. Welcome and enjoy your stay with us. May it be a long one. Also, please show us some of your mountain patterns. OH, and post a picture of a cathedral that you especially like. A tour of Milan...ah, I so would enjoy that. Someday, I still have dreams... Larry
  18. OK, young man, tell me your nook. I'm not sure what mine is. I'm also a practitioner working to become a specialist. I enjoy scrolling and am becoming an expert at hiding my mistakes. Sometimes I like the results better than the original, the out-of-place antler on the deer. I break rules like using a blade until it will not cut, keeping dull ones just-in-case. And yes, this is a nice place to commune, learn, and we all can teach something. There are friends here for everyone. You have a good saw to work with... Larry
  19. O-U-C-H I took a band-aid and covered your picture on my screen Did not want to look at it.
