Exactly, I did almost the same thing.
Gears work excellent. I stopped when I tried the PENDULUM !!!
Spent long enough time on the pendulum and weights to know 'twas time to shelve it.
This is how far I have cut on my Sisters home.
It is the back side of the pattern I'm cutting un-finished of course.
The little black dots are where I have not cut.
25 more cuts to do then penning in a lot. Have not cut the roof yet.
Get away from tape to cover your wood. I quit using tape 15 years ago.
The best product you can use is " GLAD Press N Seal " from your grocery store.
It is like GLAD Saran Wrap. About 10" wide and it sticks to the wood. Peals off
easy when you remove it. It is clear and you can see your wood thru it.
Pull off what you need and press it on. I use a roller to take out any bubbles.
Leaves no residue.

Nothing OFFICAL about that test, it has no declaration and no meaning.
It was Iguanadon cutting a pattern to show he cuts slower with the slower saw.
Advanced Machinery has a pattern of an old carriage.
I saw the pattern and carriage on their web site and
promptly asked could I have that pattern. This was 10+ years ago
They sent it to me and I made two of them.
