Glad you opted out of the WEN...ship in 1 to 4 months sounds like they hope you forget you bought it. A scrill saw MUST take pinless and when you order blades, get them from a SSV recommended online place. Like Sloans woodshop ...

Hey David, Welcome and glad you joined us. Scrolling is the same boring process over and over: Find a piece of wood and sand it Put a pattern on it Drill a bunch of holes Thread a blade in the holes and cut for hours. Sand the wood and put a finish on it. Hang it up, stick it in a corner, give it away and sometimes sell it for 10% of its value. I love it!

Ok, Listen up! I have two Deltas. A 40-690 that I've had for about 5 years. One problem was dust got in the on/off switch. Took me a week to track the problem down. As soon as I cleaned the dust out, all was well. Having that problem, inspired me to buy the 40-694. I've had it since early January. I like it and and am fully satisfied. My 40-694 did not come with a lamp or stand. Just the saw. I built a sturdy stand and have a good lamp ($7). I would recommend the Delta. PS: I did buy a new switch for the 40-690 and had no problem locating other parts in case I needed them. I found the dust in the switch of the 40-690 and then forgot which way the toggle went back on. All worked out and I learned about the internals of the Delta 40-690 and probably 40-694 also.

I may be how it is drying. Too quick drying (85 degree +) lacquer might crackle but a second coat would cover the crackling if it dries properly. High humidity might cause fogging of the lacquer finish. * Spray one light coat on a surface. spotty and spattered, too far away. Runny too close.

Absorb what you read. Have patience. Every manufacture has instructions on how to apply their product.. What you didn't do was tell us where your problem is. What the bad results are. Is it runs? splatters? Cracking? Does your work have a smoothe sanded surface...........?
