  1. I used 1/2" ply got free from a scaffolding place by work, can't get much from work anymore new boss would rather chip it before letting me have any scrap I'll post some pics on brag stu
  2. I,m woodworker 40hrs a week (sawmill) wood-hobbiest when time permits whether scrolling or making stepstools and folding travel dollhouses for kids. Stu

  4. when you get compression wood there's no getting away from it, drying sometimes the piece will get worse, one of two things happen especially with heavy compression when resawing the two pieces pop apart or squeeze together and bind and possibly stop the saw stu

  6. its not the saw I think the lumber has some slight compression(just the grain of the wood on some trees when they grow) so you only notice it on thinner pieces. I've seen heavy compression so bad pieces 2ft thick 4ft wide looks like a rocking chair Stu

  10. I make my frames projects usually 3/8 thick backer 1/8 ply, felt or foam no glass as people like to touch Stu

  12. I have to ask what is aromatic cedar! I use a lot of Western Red Cedar and Yellow Cedar have not heard of aromatic cedar. I also use douglas fir, hemlock, alder,maple and pine working in a sawmill it's always free just have dry and plane. Stu

  19. yes it is possible to have them sharpened they say disposable because they are so small and to get them sharpened can cost more than new blades stu
  20. Kids painted them, told the leader I'll lend him my other 788 to help me out next year
  21. Made a 100 bird house ornaments for local cub-scouts for Christmas they were a hit Stu
