I lost track of what spent but probably better seeing I gift all most everything but all wood is free except 1/8 bb a friend gave me 12 rolls painters tape 3 cans of 3m super 77 and 6 rolls packing tape and a coworker sharpens planer blades. this hobby is still a lot cheaper than the one I had before and I'm not hung over in the morning
  3. Couldn't tell you Dan but on that note does anybody know the manufacturer of FD can't imagine there's many scroll saw blade manufactures I bet more than one name brand comes out of each one Stu
  4. I got his #3 and #5 ultra full reverse every third tooth reversed same as the fdur I used on 3/4in white oak next I'll be trying the #3 and 5 double tooth reverse all of these also have mark at top end blade and made in Germany Stu
  5. Stumbled across Garnet Hall's sawbird.com bought a gross of his blade's found they work as well as FD and I don't have to worry about the exchange rate.Good service both by email and on phone Stu

  7. Get it all the time hands and fingers cramp up when to long on the saw get the same thing at work which is a saw mill just take a break

  11. Thanks Brad know to well how much of a blade killer the white oak is usually use fdur #3 and 5 when making mini clocks out or 3/4 in I think what i'll do is cut 8in circle in center with jig saw and inset with western red cedar, yellow cedar or cherry

  13. Well Kevin it will be some form of eagle but it will be centered 3/4"x10"x 5ft for a headboard should be fun

  15. I think the delta 690 was dewalts twin just checked amazon the 694 was over $1200 and dewalt less than $600

  20. Use fdur#3 and #5 all the time no problems probably bad batch I got a bad batch of 2/0 a while back
  21. Just finished making 30 mini bird house ornaments 1 1/2 square alder for grandsons class using fdur #3 and #5 no problems easy cutting biggest problem is drying if no air movement goes moldy stu

  25. Used Elmer's with painters tape for a long time pattern lifted found 77 works great but is double the price but a lot less aggravating Stu
