Wow!  What is the birthday boy doing on his birthday?  If it is not too late I suggest you copy this for yourself.  All you do is drill a little hole in the top of the rectangle to hold the candle and then use poster tack to attach a picture of yourself to the rectangle or, in your case, maybe permanently glue it.

It also works good for little kids on their birthdays as well as for scrollers; but then maybe I am repeating myself.

Yes Rob I've own one and used it for everything even cutting branches on trees and had to replace the blade, bad idea that but since then I've lost the saw by cutting to wide a piece and that broke that blade I hate using the normal saws. so I have ordered these from Rutlands. http://www.rutlands.co.uk/sp+woodworking-whats-hot-special-offers-woodworking-special-offers-set-of-3-compact-japanese-saws+jp1174

I know that once you've used them you'll never go back. Roly

Holly Coo those saws weigh 59 pounds!

Look like a heck of a nice set of saws, if they get to heavy for you just kick them my way. :)  :)

Hope your recovery from yesterday is well under way. Clad to hear you had a good time.

Yep I'm having a hair of the dog. Dan if you haven't had a go with one of these saws you need to get one the blades are so thin you can cut wood with no effort at all, no drag and cuts on the pull. Roly

I have one made by Irwin that I purchased a few years back. I needed something to cut the drop end off my rolling pins that would be accurate and not too aggressive. It works great but I guard it pretty close as to keep it nice for just such a porpoise.
