This is one I've wanted to try since I got into this scrolling.  8.5" x11"  3/0 spiral FD blades.  Baltic Birch.  Charles Dearing pattern

This was not a very difficult pattern to cut but the results are very rewarding.  You are right the eyes have a lot of expression.  I think what I like about this type of scrolling is you never are really sure what the results will be until you are finished and lay it on a black background.   It always surprises me.
