Wall Bed

Made this wall bed so the wife could have more floor space for her sewing on her quilts.  Added the bookshelves for more storage

How weird is that I was looking in a magazine this afternoon and that same wall bed was in there Great job good idea as a space saver.   Roly

ROTFL Roly! What mag were you looking at? I doubt it was my bed although it is a popular design.

 

Larry, I guess I'm a Jack of all trades but a master of none. Not too many things I haven't tried over the years. Maybe I'll post a few other things I've done if I have pics of them.

Nice job! I remember seeing them different places when I was a kid. Gram called it a Murphy Bed. But I don't know why.

Scroller, this is something I have intended to do in 2 of the bedrooms. Is this a kit with the lift mechanism? Or just the old fashion Armstrong method?

That's what I should do in my wife's sewing room if I could find the room. Her sewing room looks worse than any work shop I have ever seen, There is a path you can walk in d turn around and walk out. I could take a picture but it would be embarrassing.
