Aquarium Air Pump for sawdust blower duty

I have a Ryobi that I started with and used an aquarium pump for a long time works really well. I have a 500yr old Hawk that the bellows really works. -
I'm glad you are feeling better. The problem with the shot is the virus mutates so often/fast, that the shot you get this year would work better on last years virus.

I was a piece of cedar. The oak was white and worked good just too hard. My Hawk curt it but I don't like it much. Went to get some cherry today but wasn't wide enough and I donr fell like gluing it up so I got some poplar to try.

I have been experimenting with some puzzles and had trouble with some chip outs do to the softness of the wood. So in my infinite wisdom thought Id try something. I got some 1" oak and started another puzzle. HA! I wont be doing that again soon. I got it done and it turned out nice but what a lot of work that was. I looked at the hardness scale and found oak in the 1300's. Guess I need to back down a few notches. To do this right you need a small blade and needless to say, I went through quite a few

Hi Edward, The folks here have helped me more than I can tell you, and they still do. This is a learning process we all go through. I do other woodworking and try to make some money but it's tough unless you have an outlet and original ideas. I haven't had an original idea since 1969 and it wasn't a great one. Take your time and ask all the questions you want that's what got me going. Woodworking can be relaxing, I'm disabled as well and I can just lose myself in my work. Don't get frustrated it all takes time. Welcome to the village, and thank you for your service.

I appreciate this place as well, I have come and gone as my interests and hobbies fluctuate between scrolling and pen making. I still make pens, but not as much. When it starts to feel like a job its time to back off for a while. scrolling is relaxing, but I'm still a newbie and the folks here have been great. So much help and patience. It's rare to find this on any online forum. I try to find as much info as I can on my own, but the real answers and help come from the Village and you wonderful people.

I have some of my work in a gift shop on consignment, it is in a tourist area that is hot in the summer, now not so much. Waiting to see if there is any interest in fretwork around here. I like to make walnut shelves but don't know if there is a market for that stuff around here either. Its a good thing I enjoy making them LOL

This is interesting. When I used to do the flea markets (not scrollwork) we ran an experiment. If I stood at the counter just being there, I sold more. Sitting in a chair even at the counter, sales dropped, a lot. so I took a stool and only sat when my back needed a break. This made a big difference. I don't know why even as I was at the table either way standing brought more sales. Maybe just more respectful, more approachable don't know for sure, just know it works.
