I visited William (Ike) at the craft show today. He does very nice work and priced for a deal (or steal). We chatted for about 15 minutes and it was a pleasure to meet a fellow scroller and a gentleman. Ike, I sure hope you did well today, but more important, that you had a good time.

craft shows can be very productive and some are flops. I guess it must be a learning process one has to go through. I you are a person the enjoys doing craft shows, God bless you. I just can not get enthused about them. I had a nice talk with my 15 year old grandson and he is talking about knife making for a hobby. I am trying to get him to get into scrolling. he has cut a couple of pieces on my saw about 3 years ago and has not done any since. He said because I was doing it, he did not want to be a competitor of mine. I told him I would welcome him into the trade and help him in any way I can. I do not do craft shows so I think it might be perfect for him to do and I already have 3 saws and tons of wood and patterns to start out with. I will let you know what he decides.

I love it when people from The Village make the effort to meet other members. So far for me I have met Travis, Ralph, Scrappile (Paul), and I was set up to spend some time with Hans when he moved from Mexico to Canada, but at the last moment, he was unable to keep  his plans, some day maybe.. If anyone is coming through Oregon, I would love it if they came to Heppner and stayed with us during their trip, We have plenty of room at our house. Still trying to get Travis to come for a visit with his family, but no luck so far.
