kardar2 Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) Hello, I smoke a pipe and if there are any pipe smokers out there you will connect with this. I saw a post on a pipe smoking forum about painting/staining a corn cob pipe. So I just had to try it. I made my brother this one. And going to send it off to him. He got 40 some odd pipes in his collection but I am quit certain he ain't got one like this. And it made me get out my airbrush kit and play with it.any ways I am not sure what will happen if he smokes it and it gets warm. Iam going to make me one with the Kansas City Chiefs on it. If there are any pipe smokers out there that would be interested knowing the out come on it ask me later about it. Edited October 26, 2015 by kardar2 wombatie, ChelCass, Lucky2 and 1 other 4 Quote
LarB Posted October 26, 2015 Report Posted October 26, 2015 That's pretty cool!! My Dad used to smoke a pipe and I was always fascinated with the corn cob pipe. You did a great job with the airbrushing too and I'm sure your Bro will be delighted. Quote
Scrolling Steve Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 That is neat !.....Nice job! Quote
Scrappile Posted October 27, 2015 Report Posted October 27, 2015 I love to smoke a pipe, but don't anymore. I still miss it. That is a great looking pipe. I have several corncob pipes in my little collection, but I do not want to know how to make them that neat. I do not trust myself. Quote

I smoked cigars for a long time.the brother sent me about 5 pipes and a lot of tobacco. At first I did not care all the effort to keep the pipe lit... tamping... and the maintaining them. But I have come around to enjoy it. Quote

I had no idea you could make a corn cob shiny smooth like that.Tee shirt paint is heat sensitive and the heat sets the paint so you can wash it in the washer.I would suggest that for paint! ;) ;)Beautiful work! WigWag Workshop Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 I'm in the Briar club LOL.. Nice job on the pipe! Has you may know, CVS decided to quit seeing tobacco products, and I picked up 8 Corn Cob Pipes at 90% off when they were clearing inventory. kardar2 1 Quote
