browders Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 My oldest granddaughter and her husband just finished their advanced school and will soon be reporting for their first duty station at Nellis AFB. I thought this would be fun, and fairly appropriate. This is a Sue Mey pattern cut on oak with a poplar backing. Jim amazingkevin, Lucky2, bobscroll and 1 other 4 Quote

browders Posted December 9, 2015 Author Report Posted December 9, 2015 Thanks for all the kind comments. The kids seemed genuinely pleased with the plaque. We are so proud of them. We made the trip from NW Montana to San Antonio Texas to see their graduation from Air Force basic. It was almost overwhelming. Every week they graduate 350 to 400 recruits who have volunteered to serve either four or six years defending this great country of ours. Observing those kids (I'm old enough to refer to them that way) exhibit the discipline and pride in what they've accomplished fills me with pride and comfort in the knowledge that they will be protecting us. Whatever our politics may be, I believe our country is safe in the hands of these young Americans. They will keep us safe. May God bless them. Jim. Quote
