Hi everyone. To all my Canadian folks. Now that we don't have mail service, just the big box on the corner the wife asked me to make her a key chain. I did and thought what a great way to use up the scrap bits. I made girly stuff like doves, seahorse, cats and took them to work and sold them all. It wasn't a money maker but brought in a few bucks. Give. It a try guys.

Hi Kevin, no I didn't do anything fancy. I thought by the time girls shove it in and out of the purse rubbing up against the kitchen sink that they might not hold up

Steve Good has a key chain program on his page...www.scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com       that you can make key chains with the person's name and it has no 'hang ups' that will catch on anything either.

I love keychains.  I usually do Steve's name ones.  (Done probably over 200) but I like the idea of doing animals etc. as sometimes to long names just don't work as a keychain.  I can see this working for tags on back packs.  I add ball chain instead of d-ring.

Thanks for the idea.

PS:  I love the community mail box.  When I go away I don't have to worry about the mail building up in my mail box etc. plus small parcels are dropped there.  I only go to the box a couple of times a week so no big deal.

I use both the ring and the chain.. I used the key chains as a way of marking Christmas presents and each received a keychain with their name on it too.. was a fun way to use them, I thought

Tony, my mail service hasn't changed. I get my mail delivered to my mailbox at the end of my driveway, and any parcels that I might be expecting get delivered right to my door. And, we do get a fair amount of parcels. If anything, service has improved.

I make key-chain fobs using a method taught by Ron Brown of ronbrownsbest.com.  The instructions use to be a free download.  Last I looked though you need to buy a DVD.  Cute, simple & fast.  He designed this method to quickly make & sell at shows.
