First attempt at Intarsia.....I said Attempt....

First let me say that after trying this project I have a great appreciation for those of you that are so good at Intarsia.....Pattern by Lucille Crabtree as shown in Winter/Spring edition of SSWC mag. It was cut from poplar and Cedar....Don't know how you guy's do it!

very nice for your 1st attempt- I will not show anyone my 1st piece but it hangs on the wall in my shop and it amazes me everything I look at it versus the pieces I'm doing now.

Awesome Steve, especially this being your first intarsia project. You have everything flowing and coming together as should. The grain, contour of flower and leaves and finally a fantastic finish. Very beautiful.

if that was my first one I would be very pleased indeed. You have rounded the petals well and given it a great finish. You should now frame it and be pleased that you have the first of many already finished. Well done.
