This is a cabinet I made for my daughter. I built a router table a while back with the different types of woods and she kept saying how she liked it, so I built her one. It's for all her art and painting supplies. All natural no stains or paints used

A beautiful piece of cabinetry Clayton. Just perfect for an artist. A lovely piece of work.

I think the beauty and diversity of wood it just wonderful. A true beauty! It must have been a joy to work on. Did you turn the drawer pulls? Aren't router tables great?

I turned the two small pink ones, on the small drawers. These were made by myself out of acrylic and glow in the dark. They turned out to be a little smaller than I wanted so I bought the rest.

Yes router tables are great.

Very good Clayton, but lets see how she takes after her dad in art work!

Thank Kevin.  She can't draw like me, hasn't had much interest in it. She mainly paints phrases and such on canvas. She is just starting to try painting pictures. two of my 3 kids are artistic like there old man. My son can draw  just as well as I can, if not better but he don't like painting. But I can't get either one interested in woodworking/ scrolling. They will come out to the shop and watch when they visit but don't want any part of it.

Great work, Clayton,

What type of finish did you put on it?

God Bless! Spirithorse

Thank you. for the drawer fronts and rest of the cabinet I used a spray on clear finish by rustoleum called painters touch 2x. I use this on a lot of my smaller pieces as well. It covers nice and has a durable finish. For the top I used several coats of spar urethane so it would penetrate a little deeper into the spalted wood.
