daveww1 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 It is a combination of scroll sawing, wood turning and flat work. It's made from walnut, poplar, maple, lacewood and oak for the track and ties. I was able to use up a lot of my scrap making this. The finish is shellac followed up with a coat of wax. I had to stain the tender since there was a lot of sapwood on the body of the tender.
