Popular Post cynbone Posted September 29, 2016 Popular Post Report Posted September 29, 2016 Done with 3/4 " oak. Design is really too much for that wood. The pattern is very boring to cut since it has a lot of the same small cuts so I'm glad its done Fish, crupiea, amazingkevin and 9 others 12 Quote

Dave Monk Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 That is an awesome pattern and cutting. Sometimes the oak will split on me when I try to cut it down thin like that. Quote

heppnerguy Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 I love seeing this kind of fret work cut. you did a great job. I cut a pattern using these peacocks for they were a stand alone cut. I like it a lot Dick heppnerguy Quote
Rockytime Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 That is beautiful work. What blade did you use to cut 3/4" material. Sounds like hard and slow cutting. Quote
dgman Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Might of been a boring cut for you Vern, but well worth the effort! It's a beautiful cut! Quote

penquin Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Looks super, doing it in 3/4 oak had to be a real job. Understand what you are saying about a lot of the same cuts, but they really make it good. Well done. Thanks for showing it to us. jim penquin Quote

Rob Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Great cutting. I tried a peacock once but it split on me before I finished it. Congratulations on getting it done. Rob Quote

cynbone Posted October 1, 2016 Author Report Posted October 1, 2016 That is beautiful work. What blade did you use to cut 3/4" material. Sounds like hard and slow cutting. I used #2 F/D Spiral. Anything larger was too large for the small holes. I wenr through 20-25 blades. Not the blades fault for the most part but me pushing too hard Quote
