I recently posted my 2016 name ornament, I wasn't quite happy with it......so i added the eyes.....tell me if you guys like it better or not

Eyes do add; but you could have wood-burned them in and I (at least) would like them better that way!

 

Many people will like them better this way though.

 

They are very neat and well cut, I do like them

When my thyroid acted up a few years ago my eyes bulged out of my head big time

In time everything went back to normal

Your reindeers seem to have a thyroid problem

To me, the eyes are too big

I kinda like the plain looking one - so no eyes for me

If you stick with the eyes, give them a mouth too

Very nicely done.  The eyes help a lot.  Perhaps the next size smaller?  Thanks for sharing this with us.

Dan, the cutting looks great, but, I think the one with the eyes looks odd, The eyes are to large, and they look to be out of place. Personally, I think if you just cut the eyes out with the scroll saw, everything would look normal.

Love the ornament, agree with what has been said above.  Burn, drill or cut the eyes smaller.

Put me in the camp that while eyes may enhance the project, these appear to be too big. Plus, like others I think eyes you create by another means would be better.

Like everyone said, eyes are to big. I would probably drill the eyes but don,t go all the way through. Trail and error.

I too would have drilled the eyes. I do a couple different sized deer clocks and just drill eyes. Nice cutting though.

Like the design and as said before smaller eyes. I think you can buy animal eyes now as well if you wanted to go one better. Roly

Excellent work, both look great, but eyes are a little big .

Looks good, not sure it needs the eyes.  It is up to you which way you feel you want to go.
