It's the 19th here so I am home from hospital.  It's definitely a birthday I will not forget in a hurry.  Procedure went well, which I had about 9.30 - 11.00 am ( didn't realize it had taken so long but it did ) but at 400pm when they had to remove the sheath everything went pear shaped very quickly.  Thankfully I had a fantastic bunch of nurses and doctors and they soon had everything under control but it could have so been a different story.  But to top off the night at 9.00 pm my nurse Kate got all of the coronary care nurses together and also found some chocolate cake and they came and sang happy birthday to me, I was completely gobsmacked.  It was so unbelievably fantastic of her to do that for me, not many would.  But happy to say that apart from being VERY sore and lots of bruises, I feel fine and no after effects from the afternoon ordeal.  Thank you all for the great birthday wishes and the good luck wishes, I really do appreciate them.

Yes Roy, Terry is head cook and bottle washer and chauffer and lifter and anything else amongst my list of don'ts for the next week.   One of the nurses asked what I got for my birthday and my nurse said " A Stent "  smart cookie.

Glad to hear that things are now on the mend, that you had a great group of Doctors, Nurses and staff taking care of you and that they gave you an impromptu birthday party with cake.  I think you misheard them - think Terry is probably in charge of all things you don't want to do for at least a month!  ;)   Continued prayers for healing well for you.

Because I was in hospital for my birthday the family decided that we would get together on Saturday well that is now cancelled because my daughter and her 2 children have come down with Gastro that the youngest brought home from camp.  Oh well, better luck next year.:shock::o:huh::?
