Sparetime Scroller Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 I gave up crafts shows to just sell at a craft mall in my state. The mall has 150 booths and is in a high traffic tourist type city. I'm doing very well there. I want to add woodimals puzzles to my mix but I'm not sure how I should display them. The booths are not manned, there is just a central desk for checkout. I don't want to leave the puzzles loose on the shelf, they would get played with and would be a mess. Any suggestions on how to package them? Thanks, Ray F Quote
woodknots Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 Use one for display only then you can use a vacuum sealer like you use to seal meat for the freezer. When i do a special order and have to ship it thats what i do. Hope this helps. Jeff Quote
hawkeye10 Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 Ray you could put the display puzzles in a see through case. The ones you actually sell would be shrink wrapped like Ike suggested. I would also label them with what they are and price. Quote
Dan Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 For less than $1 each you can get small boxes that would fit the puzzles. Quote

Thanks, Ray F Hi Ray, I shrink wrap them using these bags and a heat gun (or hair dryer). I enclose one of my business cards on the backside. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YWNL7IU/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1085XS0GN0V3T See attached picture of how they look when packaged. You may want to display one open, the simplest one that you offer. For me, I set up a PUG so that folks can "play" with it, touch it, feel it. jbrowning and hawkeye10 2 Quote
orangeman Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 Shrink wrap is a good idea. I used to have a rack of puzzles in a consignment store a while back. I placed the display puzzles on slanted shelves and had the salable inventory in poly bags stored in plastic milk crates below. It worked well. bb Quote
Denny Knappen Posted January 14, 2017 Report Posted January 14, 2017 I also shrink wrap, but also place the puzzle on an appropriate size cardboard before shrinkwraping. amazingkevin 1 Quote

I person can see what they are buying. Quote
Sparetime Scroller Posted January 15, 2017 Author Report Posted January 15, 2017 Thank you all for your replies. I really like the idea of shrink wrap bags. I think I'll start getting some cut and give them a shot. Thanks again for all your input! Ray F Quote
heppnerguy Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 The one Iggy showed you on Amazon, if I read it correctly, was 500 per made bags for under $20. I believe that is only 4 cents a bag.. sounds better than shrink wrap to me.....my view point Dick heppnerguy Quote
Lucky2 Posted January 15, 2017 Report Posted January 15, 2017 It doesn't have to be shrink wrapped, you can vacuum seal them. That's how I kept mine together, it was a great cheap way to keep the pieces in place. Len Quote
