Ron Johnson Posted February 15, 2017 Report Posted February 15, 2017 Love your work Brian. Both items are totally awesome, but I'm leaning to the Cardnial more so. Well done and beautifully finished. Quote
ricklab Posted February 17, 2017 Report Posted February 17, 2017 Wonderful work. What finish did you use on the cardinal? Quote
Bpardue Posted February 17, 2017 Author Report Posted February 17, 2017 My finish is the same thing i do all the time. 3 coats of a crystal clear gloss spray paint Quote
olEddie Posted February 19, 2017 Report Posted February 19, 2017 (edited) The dragon made my jaw drop. I didn't know you can create things like that out of wood!!! I'm working on my first intarsia piece. I don't quite have the wood selection you have, this is more of a practice run for me on baltic birch (sorry irrelevant), but your work is just flawless. Is there any thing you use to sand your pieces all done by hand? I spent 3 hours today sanding small parts by hand ... quite entertaining I'll be following your work and thank you for sharing. tuner Posted February 20, 2017 Report Posted February 20, 2017 FANTASTIC was my first thought.. and after a second look I need a stronger word ! That has got to be a lot of work. Quote
Bpardue Posted February 20, 2017 Author Report Posted February 20, 2017 my shaping is done with a flexible drum sander for the most part. I do use a Dremel for detail sanding. Istarted out with just a Dremel to do the shaping. Quote
