Finished a couple of pieces this weekend.

The long dragon was for a client. wood are Ambrosia Maple. Padauk, Poplar, Peu Amarillo, Alder & Zebra

The Winter Cardinal is for stock for shows later this year. Woods Poplar, Aspen, Walnut & Aromatic Cedar

And what a Cardinal! This would be the center of attraction ,conversation piece in my adobe.Mighty fine work!

The dragon made my jaw drop. I didn't know you can create things like that out of wood!!!

 

I'm working on my first intarsia piece. I don't quite have the wood selection you have, this is more of a practice run for me on baltic birch (sorry irrelevant), but your work is just flawless. Is there any thing you use to sand your pieces all done by hand? I spent 3 hours today sanding small parts by hand ... quite entertaining :)
