The pttern is by Judy Peterson and found in SWWC Holiday Ornaments, Toys and Gifts Vol 2.  It is made from Poplar approximately 7" high.  I used FD Polar #5 blades and Shellac finish.  Comments welcome.

Came out very nice although it is simple.

Would you please tell us about finishing puzzles with shellac?

Do you have any issues fitting the pieces due to the shellac?

Thank you for sharing

Thanks for the question, Sam.  I actually dilute the Shellac with 50% alcohol making a sanding sealer.  This dries quickly and very little surface finish.  With this finish there is no issues fitting.

Sam, the pattern is found in am=n old issue of SWWC Holiday Ornaments, toys, and gifts vol. 2  Fox Chapel publications may still have it available.

I've been looking for that but haven't found it  - "yet" ;)  Is it a special addition of the magazine or a book they published?
