Sycamore67 Posted April 22, 2018 Report Posted April 22, 2018 (edited) It looks nice but hard to see. The background and things around it are so distracting. You might try taking a picture with a plain background. A dark blue sheet or something that contrasts with your project might work better. Edited April 22, 2018 by Sycamore67 Quote

My wife might miss the sheet off the bed....... blights69 1 Quote
Sycamore67 Posted April 22, 2018 Report Posted April 22, 2018 Just put the project on the bed.... Seriously, I see so many great pictures with less than optimal pictures. Things like the background, lighting, and poor framing. I got my wife to purchase some blue fabric on sale.....just a few bucks. She sewed the end so I could slide a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe thru a long loop. I can hang it up in my shop to make a background. But....it was just a comment and you requested comments. smitty0312 and new2woodwrk 2 Quote

new2woodwrk Posted April 22, 2018 Report Posted April 22, 2018 I like it - would also like to make one someday. Good job and thanks for sharing it I have to agree though, a better background would really make that thing shine for all to see! Quote

RabidAlien Posted May 15, 2018 Report Posted May 15, 2018 Looks awesome!! A gun rack was one of the first things I ever made when I "got back into" woodworking a couple of years ago...only had an old tablesaw and jigsaw. I applied dark walnut stain with a paintbrush and didn't know you were supposed to wipe it off with a rag afterwards (you'd think they'd print something like that on the can...in letters big enough to actually read....). This looks phenomenal! Quote
