campasano Posted July 8, 2018 Report Posted July 8, 2018 As most of you know, I relocated to Bothell, Washington last year, the weather was too severe for my arthritis so I decided it was time to come back to sunny California. I purchased a home in late December and was on a flight back to Sacramento to sign all of the documents when I suffered a stroke on my flight. Needless to say I ended up in the Hospital and rehab. I am still recovering from the after effects of the stroke. It has been going on 7 months and the doctor tells me that it will be a long recovery and does not know if I will regain all of my functions. I am off balance and get dizzy spells all the time. The doctor looked at my MRI and MRA resuts and said I have some bleeding of the brain which results in my having multiple mini strokes. I am not able to drive or work around saws or power tools. I miss all of that but above all I miss interfacing with all of you fine folks on this site. I will try my best to stay in touch with all of you great people whom I got to know. Scrappile Posted July 8, 2018 Report Posted July 8, 2018 Mike, sorry to read of you health problems. Hope you continue on the road to recovery. When you moved to Washington you moved to the wrong side. On the east tide it. is much dryer, which is better for arthritis, but it does get colder than most of California. Keep in touch on the forum. Even if you can't scroll right now, you can give advice and instruction... we can all use that. Scrolling Steve and bradnjackie 2 Quote
WayneMahler Posted July 8, 2018 Report Posted July 8, 2018 Sorry to hear about your health issues. Hoping and praying for a good recovery for you and all. Getting your health back is the primary goal, so listen to the Docs and the other stuff will fall into place as time and mobility allow. Stay safe bradnjackie 1 Quote
meflick Posted July 8, 2018 Report Posted July 8, 2018 Sorry to hear all you have been through Mike. Prayers said that you can see some light at the end of what must seem like a very long tunnel. While you may not be able right now to do much work with your saw, feel free to hang out here when you feel up to it. bradnjackie 1 Quote
RabidAlien Posted July 9, 2018 Report Posted July 9, 2018 Kick its ass, Mike. You're in our prayers!!! And remember....once you're able to, there's not much more theraputic than the buzz of a saw and the taste of sawdust on the back of your throat. bradnjackie 1 Quote
