Aggie Posted May 1, 2019 Report Posted May 1, 2019 (edited) Hi all I was trying to get to work this morning but couldn't make in because of flooding in the Detroit Michigan area. I'm living in Lincoln park right now and this is what the roads looked like this morning. Edited May 1, 2019 by Aggie bobscroll, Scrolling Steve and RabidAlien 2 1 Quote

Sycamore67 Posted May 1, 2019 Report Posted May 1, 2019 This is pretty typical this morning throughout much of the Midwest. Quote
Aggie Posted May 1, 2019 Author Report Posted May 1, 2019 My wife and I tried four different directions and we drove a hour and 30 mins and every direction we came upon a flood and got turned around so we're both staying home today. Quote
Heli_av8tor Posted May 1, 2019 Report Posted May 1, 2019 A Hesco barrier gave way yesterday afternoon in downtown Davenport IA. I’m guessing maybe 6 to 10 blocks were overtaken by the Mississippi River. Dozens of cars destroyed. People had to be rescued by boat from businesses and apartments. The tv news covered it live for four hours, repeating themselves endlessly. If unfamiliar with the area one would have thought the entire city was lost. Build in the flood zone and get wet. Duh Quote
RabidAlien Posted May 1, 2019 Report Posted May 1, 2019 Stay safe, stay dry! And remember...as Mark Twain said, "if you don't read the news, you're uninformed. If you do, you're misinformed." Quote
