Popular Post Foxfold Posted December 17, 2019 Popular Post Report Posted December 17, 2019 (edited) Not been able to get to my saw for the last week or two as Tony has orders for his Toy Boxes backing up and it's taken the two of us to get things cut, planed, sanded and built. dgman Posted December 17, 2019 Report Posted December 17, 2019 Are you going through withdrawals Brenda? It looks like a mighty fine toy box. How many are you two making? Quote

How many are you two making? I am Dan Although must confess it's a little too cold here to scroll. Tony makes around 5 a week at this time of year. He makes them and I sand them and put which ever name is required onto them. Had to change the photo as Tony wasn't pleased with the first one I put on. amazingkevin Posted December 18, 2019 Report Posted December 18, 2019 Now you know all their toys will not fit in this box lol.wish I could make one. Quote
JTTHECLOCKMAN Posted December 18, 2019 Report Posted December 18, 2019 They do look nice. Have to say there are safety standards for toy boxes though. A lid has to be hinged so it can not close unless pulled down. There has to be ventilation holes and the finish must be child safe. Just the world we live in. Quote

Yes that's true, which is why Tony makes this design as it incorporates all those features. Quote
munzieb Posted December 18, 2019 Report Posted December 18, 2019 Your boxes look great and well made. They will make someone very happy. Quote

Not to get picky but from that photo it looks like that lid is held up with a stick of wood. yes you have to raise the lid to lower the lid but easily done with kids bumping into it. A lid can not slam down on its own. May catch a hand. One huge reason I do not make toys for kids and things for kids. Today we are a sue happy society. Good luck with your projects. Does look nice. teachnlearn Posted December 19, 2019 Report Posted December 19, 2019 (edited) Nice Toy Box. Title is misleading. Isn't a Toy Box another name for a tool box? RJF Edited December 19, 2019 by teachnlearn Foxfold and barb.j.enders 1 1 Quote

RJF Depends on who the box is for. if it is for an adult with tools, then yes, another name for a tool box. But, if intended for children and their toys, then it is in fact a “toy box” and any mother would love for her children to have a toy box. especially one that looks as nice as these do. Excellent work by you and Tony Brenda. I can see why he has to churn out so many this time of year. Hopefully you can get to your Saw soon. teachnlearn and Foxfold 2 Quote

When my son was little, I had to replace the starter in our car. Put two wheels on the curb and crawled under. That evening he took my screwdriver, layed on his back under his little plastic table and 'fixed it'. He was all smiles sliding back out. That table has started every time to this day! If you ever need a little plastic table fixed, I know Just the Guy! 'He's a bit bigger and older now, 29, 6' 3 RJF Edited December 19, 2019 by teachnlearn flarud, Foxfold and meflick 3 Quote
oldhudson Posted December 26, 2019 Report Posted December 26, 2019 I really like the toy box. The natural looking finish. The interesting corner joinery (grooves in the corners with slats sliding into them??). The arm that holds the top open. Great job. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted December 26, 2019 Report Posted December 26, 2019 Nice boxes there Brend what price do they go for up there in the cold. Roly Quote
