Just thought it'd be interesting to see what other sellers popular item was for 2019.. since I'm asking I'll start first obviously.. You don't have to say how many you sold etc if you'd rather not..But picture of the item would be nice so we can actually see what the item is..

I had some real close sellers in the ornament section this year.. but considering I have several orders for this ornament that was more than 10 pieces per order and at least three of the orders was for 60 pcs. lots of 10 -20 piece orders on this one I think as a " per piece " seller this one probably won the most sold.. Several other ornaments were very close to the same amount of orders.. but not so many of those orders was as many pcs.  I had 136 orders for this one ornament.. between all my selling sites with various numbers quantities so as I said.. I think this is the winner for this year..  aside from the business's that order a few hundred at a shot to hand out for their Christmas parties.. as I have a few that order a custom designed ornament every year.. some of these are 200 pcs orders every year.. I didn't go through and take an actual count.. too lazy to go through all 136 orders and add it up.. so I just counted out the orders knowing I sold a few larger quantities..

My experience with selling is... Next year not a one will sell, LOL but another one will take it's spot.. then in a couple years I'll sell a few here and there again..  Most of the larger numbered pcs orders was custom made with the company's name added to the design.. so does it really count as this actual ornament?  it was ordered based on this one design though.. so I counted it..

If you are not a seller and just give your things away.. post what the popular thing was in the neighbor hood or with the friends and family's..

3D butterfly crosses were my big seller.  I sold out at every show I had.  I made them from Poplar, Cedar, Red Oak and Walnut.  On some of the poplar I mixed the wings up and added 3 different colors of wood (Red Wood, Purple Heart, and Aspen).  People loved them.

Desk lamp. First i made one. Sold this. Then buyer ordered second.

The lamps paid all year rent (workspace) and electrical bill. And a little extra! This year my hobby didnt take money away!

I try not to make many similar things.

Innar, That lamp is awesome!! beautiful workmanship for sure! I could see a lot of those selling. What material is it made from? Looks like a light colored wood like maybe Maple?

Thank you for sharing your seller of the year.

I agree with Kevin, those are really beautiful! It would be neat to see the pieces with the different wood

I don't sell a lot yet. My best seller  for 2019 was Christmas tree cutout. I was asked by someone Facebook if I could make them. No problem. We exchanged a few messages to figure out exactly what she wanted and I cut them. I always make extras just in case something goes wrong. I had one extra so I created a listing in my shop and it sold right away. I made two more and they sold quick. I made four more and sold those. In about three weeks from the custom order. Christmas tree cutouts became by best seller.

Seeing as I only started scrolling in early November I wasn't involved in any shows.  That being said, my better half posted a few pictures on FB and a few orders came in.  She was the one to put a price on them and I know that I didn't get any amount that was even close to breaking even.  I'm sure that it cost me money when I factor in just the cost of painting supplies alone.  Not to worry... I had a ball making these things.  The plan is to keep on cutting other pieces aside from Christmas related for the tables the wife plans on getting at craft fairs this spring.  Perhaps we'll make enough to cover the cost of the tables. 🤣

The "candle/noel" was the most popular out of everything I made.  I would have thought that the "moon/merry Christmas" or a couple of other things would have given me more orders.  The price was the same for everything I made.  Hard to figure.

That is beautiful! I wonder if lining the inside of the shade with vellum wouldn't soften and diffuse the light through the fretwork, and reflect more light below?

I tried christmas trees with a nativity center  useing flashing lights and  they went fast I only had 10 but dthey look promising. I have already bought $150 string of lights @ 1/2 price after Chdristmas  never counted the strings yet But I am sure they will all sell.
