USA 51 states puzzle

Hi long time no see  

3month ago I tried to make 51 states

I just finished 51 states map  cutting

it took long time than I thought

you gave me some hint and I found a lot impormations from Google

hopefully I will finish this in  February

I still making this project

Looks great but what are you counting as the 51st state since there are only 50?

As i studied about states 

50state is correct 

And i made only 50states included Alaska 

But i am still confused about Washington  dc 

Give me some clues

Washington DC confuses us also. DC is not a state but a district the land was taken from Maryland and Virginia but it is treated as a city with a mayor not a governor.

DC is where our country's politicians reside.  So it confuses EVERYBODY.

the pic is back side coz I put pattern on front side

I have to see the wood color and i just happy with cutting is done

I did snading and piercing eyes yesterday~

Great project. If you'd just used the 48 contiguous (bordering each other directly), that would have been puzzle enough for many. Can't wait to see it finished. I've had making a map of my state on the To Do List for ages. Thanks for the inspiration.
