I cut it out of three 3mm thick layers of Baltic Birch plywood, stained the top and bottom layers, leaving the middle layer as natural wood. I agree it is one that is enjoyable to look at as this pattern adds a lot of new dimension with the open window effect. I'm certainly happy enough that I will now make at least four frames for our own use.
