dgman Posted June 22, 2020 Report Posted June 22, 2020 Hey Marg, hows the headaches coming? I hope they are easing up. I have started back working. After my three surgeries, I had thought I had retired. Then I got a call for a training position. I agreed to a six month period with an option to stay on if I wanted. Just starting my second month. Haven’t been on the saw for a month. Next weekend I’m heading to the hardwood store. I need to start working on Christmas stuff, in the heat of summer. Quote
meflick Posted June 22, 2020 Report Posted June 22, 2020 I’m here Marg. Hope your recovered or continuing to recover from your bout with shingles. My daughter was here on quarantine with us for 12 weeks, so I wasn’t in the shop much while she was here. Did sew a lot of face masks, have stuff to make more. Donated to family and local hospital. She’s been gone two weeks but haven’t gotten motivated to go to the shop much. Did cut out one Intarsia piece while she was here, but didn’t get around to shaping it yet. It’s joined a small pile of other pieces that need completed. wombatie 1 Quote

Hi Merlin, Today is very cold and sunny, yesterday it rained 80% of the day, the wettest place on the Mornington Peninsula. The weekend is looking good. I got a new phone too, the photo app's got me beat though. Marg Quote

Hi Dan, Sunday was the first day that I did not have a headache and yesterday and today they are sort of in the background, so not bothering me much. I started looking at my Christmas patterns but then I got an order for 80 boomerangs for the local Kindergarten. Hopefully I get to start cutting Christmas ornaments next week. It's good news about the job, hope you are enjoying it. Marg Edited June 23, 2020 by wombatie meflick 1 Quote

Bet you feel lost without your daughter, you have to get used to her not being there all over again. Marg meflick 1 Quote

Marg Glad to hear you are healing and the headaches are fading. You’re right, I do miss my daughter, especially since she had taken care of planning, shopping, and cooking dinner. (Something she seems to enjoy and I don’t. ) Our golden retriever misses her too. But good to know that hopefully her lost clinical time will be made up so that she will hopefully graduate on time next Spring with her doctorate in physical therapy. She missed one clinical rotation, is doing one now. They missed one will follow and then they plan to consolidate or compress their Fall schedule by doing extra classroom time on evenings and weekends to get it all in. Plus, she did a research project with a professor while here to get credit for one class so that will help on hours needed. Praying that Covid doesn’t cause her more issues before they finish.
