Very well done. 

You made some of the wood stand out by making some pieces thicker.  Just curious about how you did that.  Did you add a shim on the backs of those pieces or did you start with thicker wood for those pieces?   

I also note what a good job you did with the eyes.  You used no paint, as you said, but the eyes and a few other small round pieces are very dark and distinct.  Did you use a dark wood such as ebony or wenge?  And how did you get the eyes and nail heads so round?

Everything started out a 3/4" or a full 1" thick wood.  I have shims under two of the birds, Noah's mustache, and the sheep's faces.  Judy Gale Roberts (love her patterns)  had a note on the pattern, suggesting using a wood burner for the eyes and nail heads, so that is what you see.

nice piece.. I love how well this came out. Should have one in every  Sunday School classroom
