Has any of you heard anything concerning drinking Pineapple Juice and the Benefits it Brings?

Here is a Blurb from a Medical Site I respect.

Pineapple juice contains a mixture of enzymes called bromelain, which has strong anti-inflammatory properties . It's thought that bromelain can help with respiratory problems that are tied to allergies and asthma. It's also thought to have mucolytic properties that help break up and expel mucus.Jan 23, 2018....  Danny  :+}

I found this on the BBC site.  Don't know if it helps, but they are strongly regulated about what they can and cannot say.

Nutritional benefits of pineapple

Pineapples are naturally high in fibre, an important component of a healthy diet that can help improve digestion.  Pineapples also contain a good array of vitamins and minerals including calcium, manganese, plus vitamins A and C, as well as folic acid.

One of the key phytonutrients found in pineapple is bromelain that has long been recognised for its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects.

Both fresh and tinned pineapple counts towards your five-a-day target, but if you go for the tinned variety, choose a can with no added sugar or salt. An 80g portion, or one average slice, counts as one of your five-a-day. One 150ml glass of pineapple juice also counts, but be aware that this is high in sugars and can be damaging to teeth. For this reason, one 150ml glass can only count as one portion of your 5-a-day regardless of the amount consumed.

When I turned 20 my body started rejecting apple.  When I was 22 there was a different reaction to pinnapple.  So both of these together would do bad things to me.

Both my kids have same issue when they turned 20.

Short chime in. Many foods have anti-inflamatory properties. I've watched a lot of diet and food fads over the years. Then it comes out too much of the food herb is bad. Learned cooking cause we never had the money to eat at restaurants. Always came down to moderation and cooking with the freshest food available. My wife has arthritis and had a fellow teacher show her  fresh cherries. She eats some during the season, they are suppose to have anti-inflamatory properties, still she doesn't eat boxes of them. True dat.  Too little water will kill you.  Too much water will do the same.  Moderation is where "healthy" resides.

I'm in my 60s and never had a tapeworm. Is that a common problem? RJF

If you ever ate meat it is. Take a mayonnaise jar and put a few slices of raw bacon in it and seal the cap with wax. Put in the sunshine a day or two and see what's inside. Heat does not kill them when cooking either .

This jarred mayonnaise and bacon, doesn't sound like a recipe I'll be filing away for any meal. RJF

From alot of cooking shows, I thought they cooked pork to death to kill any worms. Now with anibiotics many chefs recommends a lower finished temp to keep the meat tender. RJF
