Two projects finished

The family tree is roughly 20x12 inches.  It's made from 1/4" cherry, with 5mm ply backer.  It uses the same ply painted black for the strips that hold it all together.  Sheila Landry design.  The dragon is 9x5.5 inches, from 1/4" curly maple, with a 5mm ply backer.   Both were cut with Olson #2/0R blades.

Really like the family one.... some one has their feet planted under the roots... Great job on the dragon also!!

I like how the bare feet emphasizes the family roots.  

 

Wow the curly maple give the dragon a glowing aura.   Nice choice of wood.

When I laid it out, I tried to get the dragon to be resting on top of the sap wood ..  Kinda like it was the rocks.

Fantastic work, WolfmoonCT. I love the woodgrain in both projects. To me, woodworking is being able to enjoy the beauty of the wood and you sure captured the beauty in these two pieces.

The dragon is lovely.  I'm not normally into dragon but this one I like.  The family tree in great too, both well finished.
