Wichman Posted December 20, 2021 Report Posted December 20, 2021 Because of the question about printing correct sizes I checked for a newer version of Inkscape for Linux. It's here . Huzza, Huzza. I'm going to visit the kids for Christmas, I'll be able to check out the changes and see if it will work for me. OCtoolguy and jr42 2 Quote
Wichman Posted December 20, 2021 Author Report Posted December 20, 2021 And the new Inkscape doesn't "see" the Font I want to use. Every other program can see it just not Inkscaspe. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Wichman Posted December 30, 2021 Author Report Posted December 30, 2021 I'm working my way through Travis's tutorials. So far (lesson 6) so good, a few issues with buttons changing positions (normal, and expected) but other than that going well. In this version (1.1.1) the eraser tool works, so there's that. OCtoolguy Posted January 12, 2022 Report Posted January 12, 2022 Good luck on that Wichman, I've watched so many videos on Inkscape, I think I could almost recite them word for word. But, alas, I'm still not "getting" it. I truly wish there was a classroom setting nearby that I could sit in on and actually have somebody tell me what I'm not doing correctly. Or to get a really good explanation of what each tool does and why it does it. I'm stuck on "trace bitmap" and once I get the tracing, what to do with it after that. But, the muddy water is starting to clear bit by bit. don watson and Wichman 2 Quote
don in brooklin on Posted January 13, 2022 Report Posted January 13, 2022 I too watched lots of video's. Travis's here are great. I also spent the $17 and took the Inkscape course from Logos by Nick. Explains every function. If you have a question Nick will get back to you right away. https://logosbynick.teachable.com/courses/ jr42 1 Quote
