Myself and a couple of friends were BIG into the OA at the time (the only reason we stayed in Boy Scouts), and we must've seen this movie 20 times in the theater.  At one point, I think we were sitting in the dollar theater on base, with notepads, taking notes on various outfits.

Nicely cut!

Yes great movie.

Good scrollsaw project.  The wood brings out the wild west feel.

Maybe add a teepee (tipi) in the background.

I tried an experiment by listening to the book then watching the movie.

The scenes of rolling hills and buffalo was on my bed room ceiling as i listened to the book at night.

The next week I saw the movie and the same rolling hills and buffalo scene as on the screen.

The director and producer did a great job at holding the scenes to the book.

But the ending was different.

Graham Greene and Kevin Costner as Kicking Bird and John Dunbar from Dances With Wolves. One of my favorite movies and one of the most beautiful scenic movies I've seen. Can't believe it's almost 32 years old. 1/2" Red Oak with a light stain, about 9" by 11" cut with FDUR#1. Not my pattern, I bought it on Etsy. :)

Very nice piece!

A few months ago my neighbor was replacing his kitchen cabinets.  He asked me if I wanted all of the doors, he said that they were solid oak.  Well because of all the pieces you cut from Oak, I told him that I would take them.  A couple of days ago I decided to cut a piece from the center of one of the doors to try a portrait,, not solid Oak!  LOL  To the trash they go.  Oh well.

I once thought I had a solid oak entertainment center. Nope. Oak veneer over MDF. 🤨

Great job on that for sure. Love it.

I have that image, from a movie poster and was about halfway through making it into a viable scrollsaw pattern. Looks like someone beat me to it. LOL

The scrolling world can always use 2 to pick from. :)
