Hiking stick holder

Very nice.

I need to build on for my walking stick... I have been using it since the 1970's and carving on it.  Not good carving, around the campfire with a #10 Buck knife carving.  The one thing the grandkid fight over who is going to get grandpa's walking stick when he croaks.  Croaks is the term they use,,, I think it is one of my pronouns now.

That's the kind of heirlooms I care about! One of my favorite things I got from my dad are two larger rocks he got out of the creek in The Smoky Mountains. Another is his shoeshine box. :) I honestly thought while making this holder that I hope one of my kids or grandkids want it someday. Whenever I think that might be the case I put "Pop" on the back, rather than my initials.

TO: Scrappile (above replier)

Get even with those croakin' grandkids.  Make a walkin' stick for each of them and make the handle with one of those frogs that you rub with a stick along their ridged back to make it "croak." You'll have a whole family of "little croakers" and they'll each one have a personal memory from you.  The frog handle will be your challenge!
