Finally, spring has fully arrived in th upper Midwest.  The trees are fully leaves out and flowers blooming.  We really enjoy bird watching and feed the birds year around.  (Bird seed has gotten expensive with everything else.). We have a large back yard with slot of various trees and bird habitat.  The family room has a large sliding door onto a deck and we have a bunch of feeders setup.

This weekend, we were doing some planting in pots on the porch and I heard a loud buzz go by my ear.  My daughter told me it was a Hummingbird going by.  So, we got out the Hummingbird feeders and set them up.  Today, we got our first visitor to the feeders.

While drinking coffee inside, we saw a pair of Baltimore Orioles visit the porch where we normally feed them.  So, it was time to get that feeder out and put some grape jelly on it.  A couple hours later, we had visitors.  This is the picture of the female Oriole dipping her beak in the jelly.  I need to go to the store for jelly and oranges to feed them.  In other years we have had as many as 8-10 at one time.

I am also attaching a picture of the Rose Breasted Grosbeak which has become a daily visitor.
